1. Who we are
Vocare is operated by SideQuest Gaming Group LLC (“Vocare”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Vocare, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed it.
The email address on your account is how we reach you about your subscription, receipts, and changes to these terms.
3. What Vocare does
Vocare builds a structured profile of your career from information you provide, and generates analysis, assessments, and career materials from it.
Vocare’s output is informational. It is generated in part by AI systems, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. It is not career advice, legal advice, financial advice, or a guarantee of any outcome — including employment, promotion, or compensation. You are responsible for reviewing anything you send to an employer, publish, or rely on.
4. Your content, and who owns what
You own what you put in. Your career history, resumes, and everything else you upload remain yours.
You own what comes out. The assessments, resumes, and other materials Vocare generates for you are yours to use.
You grant us the licence we need to run the service: to store your content, process it (including sending it to our AI providers) to generate your outputs, and to display it back to you.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not train our own models on your career data. See our Privacy Policy for what we do with it.
5. Payment
Some parts of Vocare are paid. Prices are shown before you buy, and payments are handled by Stripe — we never see your card details.
Vocare is a subscription. Vocare Core is a required base subscription, and you can add optional modules on top of it. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your first career assessment is included as part of onboarding, at no extra charge. Additional assessments — for example, re-running your assessment after you update your profile — are a one-time purchase. Because each assessment is generated and delivered immediately, a paid assessment is non-refundable once it has been generated.
If something goes wrong on our side, contact us — we would rather fix it than argue about it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not: use Vocare to impersonate someone else or misrepresent your history to a third party; upload someone else’s personal information without a lawful basis; attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; or resell Vocare’s output as your own product.
We may suspend an account that does these things.
7. Availability
We work to keep Vocare running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we make a material change that reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you.
8. Ending the relationship
You can close your account at any time. You can ask us to delete your data, and we will, subject to what we must keep by law.
We may terminate an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will normally give notice first.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Vocare is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on Vocare’s output.
Our total liability to you is capped at what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we publish a new version with a new version number and effective date. If a change is material, we will notify you, and continuing to use Vocare after it takes effect means you accept it.
You accepted a specific version of these terms when you signed up. That version is what applies to you until you accept a new one.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of California have exclusive jurisdiction.
