1. Scope
This policy explains what Vocare (operated by SideQuest Gaming Group LLC) does with your personal information. It applies to your use of the Vocare app.
2. What we collect
What you give us: your name, email address, and the career information you enter or upload — jobs, experiences, outcomes, resumes, education, and anything else you choose to add. Optionally, a phone number, location, LinkedIn URL, and profile photo.
What we generate: the profile, assessments, and materials Vocare produces from your input.
What we collect automatically: basic technical and usage data needed to run and secure the service.
What we never see: your card details. Payments go directly to Stripe.
3. Why we use it
To build your profile and generate your outputs; to run your account and take payment; to keep the service secure; and to contact you about your account, your subscription, and changes to our terms.
4. AI processing — read this one
To generate your assessments, we send your career information to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. This is how the product works — there is no version of Vocare that produces your assessment without it.
Your data is not used to train Anthropic’s models. We do not train our own models on it either.
We send the minimum needed for each task, and we do not send you sensitive personal information that the service does not need.
5. Who else sees it
We share personal information only with the providers we need to run Vocare:
- Anthropic — AI processing (see above)
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Stripe — payments
- Resend — transactional email
- Vercel — hosting
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it, except where we must retain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting).
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Most of it you can edit yourself in the app; for anything else, email us and we will action it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), including the right to object to processing and to complain to a regulator.
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of in that respect.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
9. Where your data lives
Vocare and its providers process data in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred there.
10. Children
Vocare is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We publish a new version with a new version number and effective date, and will tell you if a change is material.
